The Slovakian is a boutique charcuterie, specialising in high quality artisanal cured delicacies, using only free-range hogs and the best ingredients. The Slovakian comes from a long history of family charcuteries, dating back to D’Monchet of French Normandie, but now based in Cape Town.
Even though a recent identity had been created for The Slovakian, the business required full rebranding to stand out in a professional manner. K&i was approached to update the brand, design the logo as well as establishing a look and feel for the overall visual identity. The brand needed to be reflective of the business values and to have the flex to meet the requirements of future product expansion.
K&i rebranded The Slovakian, giving it a fresh, modern and bold look and feel. The logo was created featuring the classic meat cleaver, along with establishing a colour palette and font usage. Colour coded stickers were created to identify the different types of sausages, as well as branded swing tags. K&i also designed and developed a simple single-page website, along with product photography.
