Challenge

EPCM is an engineering, asset and project management consultancy firm to the oil and gas industry. Their offices are located in Johannesburg, Cape Town, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Kenya and Mauritius. With decades of invaluable experience, EPCM has steadily evolved from providing engineering consultancy services to developing projects and providing complete turnkey solutions.

Working in over 50 countries and with clients from project developers, infrastructure owners and large, multinational oil companies, EPCM has over the last couple of years grown rapidly. Even though not a key corner stone in the EPCM marketing material at present, the website needed a serious refresh to lift the overall corporate image.

Outcome

EPCM asked K&i to redesign their current website and update the overall image. The redesign included strategic recommendations and copywriting to leverage EPCM’s standing as developing more projects and providing complete turnkey solutions.

A new navigation and sitemap was developed, introducing project pages, courses, expertise articles, and featuring the different sectors that they work in. The colour palette was updated, and an impactful image and typographic treatment was introduced. Taking advantage of the impressive photography that is available within the industry, the photos were featured full width where applicable. Our copywriting team worked on elevating the copy, to bring it inline with industry terminology and create a cohesive tone.

Along with redesigning the website, K&i set up templates for their Project Data Sheets and on going print collateral.
